Had a delightful time in Venice in February when no one else was there. It was crisp, but clean and very few tourists. It was nice enough to eat outside next to the canals

Nice scenery, and location, however the hotel was full of how should I put it older people. The entertainment was zilch and nothing was open apart from the odd restaurant and bar, very boring, nothing to do and the weather was not good. The excursions they put on were for excursion sake and really not worth bothering. Would not recommend going there for Christmas.
