Europe

Europe is considered to be the birthplace of Western civilization, once containing the great empires of Ancient Greece and Rome. In its relatlvely small surface area, it contains a wide spectrum of peoples and attractions, with large cosmopolitan cities like London and Paris as well as quaint medieval towns with lush histories. In the last decade, its countries have taken steps toward becoming a more unified whole, creating the European Union and instituting the Euro as the official currency of most EU nations.
