"Lijiang China (the one located near the Black Dragon Pool and inhabited by the Naxi people) is a beautiful small town. It sits in the shadow of the Jade Snow Dragon Mountain (part of the Himalayas) and the streets are small winding cobblestone walkways where cars cannot pass. There is a large backpacker presence in this town and an "International street" which is located just off the main square of the town. While here I recommend the Naxi heritage museum and the Black Dragon Pool. Also if you have time, I recommend taking the ski lift to the yak meadow where a beautiful Buddhist monestary sits with the majestic himalayas soaring behind.
